Yachting Experience

Deckhand - M/Y Reverie (Private/Charter)

70m Benetti, 30 crew

March 2011 – September 2012

Being employed at the beginning of Charter Season I quickly adapted to getting the boat ready for a busy summer. I was put to work on fairing, painting, varnishing, caulking, whipping and splicing in preparation. Thereafter we sailed throughout the Med where we picked up a busy charters schedule during which we traveled extensively through the Greek Isles, Turkey, Italy, France and Sardinia. Duties included all deck functions, Watch keeping, guest tender runs, training and assisting guests with water sports and activities, and making sure that the boat and all its toys were impeccably presented at all times. Being the Boat’s Carpenter I performed carpentry work both on the interior and exterior to a Grade A, Super Yacht Finish. I have the experience of two busy summer seasons and two winter seasons spent in Genoa and Montenegro.

Related Experience

I have many years experience operating small watercraft including Wave Runners, Outboard motor boats, sailing and paddle boats. I am a strong swimmer, fisherman, and oarsman with a life time’s experience growing up on Sydney beaches and waterways. I have a vast amount of experience in Carpentry and building with knowledge across all designs and wants of the client.
